You will be assigned one of the following plate boundaries or hot spot. The first person ready to begin this project will get first choice of the boundaries.

Research the plate boundary and prepare a presentation using Google Earth. Your presentation will be 3-5 minutes long.

The following will be included in your presentation and map

Type of Boundary - This will also be drawn in the correct color on your map (converging = blue, diverging = red, transform = yellow, hotspot = purple)
The direction of motion of the plates involved. Add arrows into your map to show this motion.
Names of the plates associated with the boundary
Describe the geologic activity associated with this boundary: volcanoes, earthquakes, geysers, etc, and explain the importance of this activity
Types of volcanoes associated with this boundary
Earthquake activity associated with this boundary
Mountain ranges associated with this boundary
Minimum of 5 pictures that are properly cited
Minimum of 2 videos that are properly cited.

DUE DATES

Tuesday, August 25 - send me your Google Notebook page
Wednesday, August 26 - send me your Google Map - I will send you a note on your progress
Friday, August 28 - present your plate boundary in Google Earth
